ALVIN BETKER Alvin Betker passed away peacefully at the Ste. Anne Hospital, on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at the age of 76. Left to cherish his memory, Alvin is survived by his wife Kathy Betker; his daughter Rhonda (Bob) Parenteau and grandchildren, Michaela and Donovan; his son Darren (Jennifer) Betker and granddaughter Miranda; stepdaughter Deborah (Todd) Rurak and grandchildren Dion and Brendon; stepdaughter Darlene (Denis) Rivard and grandchildren Paige and Dylan; stepdaughter Sandra (Pierre) Trudeau and grandchildren Travis and Katelyn; brothers, Ernie (Lynn) Betker and Randy (Anne) Betker; sisters, Eileen Shuel and Eleanor (Garry) Shuel; sister-in-law Mary Betker; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alvin was predeceased by his parents, Adolfe and Amanda Betker; brother Arnie Betker; brother-in-law David Shuel; and first wife Sharon (nee Miles). The family would like to thank the Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Ste. Anne Hospital and the EMS teams for their care, compassion and support. A private memorial will be held on Saturday, January 19, at 2:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB and interment of ashes will be held at a later date.
