Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I knew Helen in her capacity as a volunteer with Pregnancy and Family Support Services Inc. I have never forgotten Helen and her smiling eyes. The day she shared the news of her new love her eyes twinkled. I did not have the privilege of knowing Dave, but Helen only chose the very best. Helen you were a dedicated, humble and loving asset to to P.F.S.S.Inc. May you rest now in peace. Rosemary. - Posted by: Rosemary Craig Shariff () on: Jan 16, 2019

  • When Dave brought Helen into my life, I was so happy for him. I learned great respect for her as a person, and as a friend. I admired the joy she brought to Dave's life, and to all of us in Dave's family. She will be sorely missed. - Posted by: Dolly Miller (Sister-in-law) on: Jan 16, 2019

  • Sorry to hear of Helen's passing. She was a great woman. Always kind, generous, helpful and willing to give you a hug if you had a rough day. She meant a lot to my brother Dave. They met and fell in love after the passing of Helen's first husband. She was the light of the world for my brother. They will meet again in Heaven. Thank you Helen for being the kind of woman that you were. You meant a great deal to me. My deepest condolences to her entire family. Helen you will be missed. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Sylvia Miller (Sister-in-law) on: Jan 16, 2019

  • Helen and my brother Dave came together late in life, after they had lived full separate lives apart. As fate would have it both lost their partners, and they came to know each other well. Dave fell in love with Helen, and Helen with him. He told us the day she accepted his proposal of marriage was the happiest day of his life. In the short time they had together they were the most loving couple I have ever known. Helen gave Dave a kind of love he had never known, and Helen said the same of him. My family is much better for having gotten to know Helen, and I hope her family felt the same way about Dave. They were a couple for the ages. We would like to take this opportunity to send everyone whose lives they touched our deepest condolences for being able to know them. May they now rest in peace together for eternity. Goodbye, Helen, you made our lives better when we met you. - Posted by: Jerry Miller/Gail Shaw (Brother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law) on: Jan 16, 2019

  • So sorry to hear of Helen's passing. She was one of the finest women I know. I have such fond memories of working with her at the Bay, always cheerful and ready to lend a helping hand; kind, gentle and yet feisty when you least expected it. I will miss her dearly. My sincerest sympathy to the whole family. - Posted by: Audrey Reimer (Relative and former co-worker) on: Jan 15, 2019
