Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I had the pleasure to work with Dennis at the Saint Boniface Research Centre and University of Manitoba - Fort Garry from 2007 - 2013. Dennis was one of the finest scientists I've ever worked with and his work ethic was the best I have ever seen in my life. He deeply cared about doing his best at his work (something he remarked was from his military background). He was never too busy to help. I enjoyed many conversations with Dennis about his family, his camping trips, his time in the military, RRC, his autobody days, and many other topics. I'm sure his family is missing such a wonderful man but please note that this was a man whose life was worth celebrating. I apologize for the lateness of this message, I was only recently notified of his passing. - Posted by: Jordan Betteridge (Co-worker) on: May 26, 2019

  • Dennis and I crossed paths only a few times over the last 40 years but I have many fond memories from our younger years. My sincere condolences to you and your family Colleen. - Posted by: Grace-Ann Cross (Former cousin-in-law and friend) on: Feb 20, 2019

  • So sad to hear of Dennis's passing. It's been quite a while since I last got the chance to say Hi to Dennis when passing quickly thru Winnipeg, but memories of Dennis still bring a smile to my face. My deepest sympathies to Colleen, the kids, grandkids, the Labossiere clan and all Dennis's friends. My hopes that memories of Dennis bring just smiles to you too. - Posted by: Robert Brodie (fellow Queen's Own Cameron Highlander Of Canada comrade) on: Feb 10, 2019

  • It was heartwarming to have been in attendance at Dennis' Celebration of Life this afternoon. What a wonderful tribute to a great man of many talents. He touched so many lives but most importantly his family. May your many wonderful memories of his life continue to keep his name and contributions in your hearts and lives through his legacy of his children and grandchildren. - Posted by: Karen Tyler (QOCH of Canada) on: Jan 31, 2019

  • My condolences to all of Dennis’s family, and loved ones. It was quite awhile ago that we served together in the Camerons, but memories of laughter and a good comrade come to mind when I think of my time with Dennis. May he rest in peace, and may your fond memories of him ease some pain. Mark Silver - Posted by: Mark Silver (Comrade in arms) on: Jan 31, 2019
