JOE WIESENFELD With deep sadness we announce the passing of Joe Wiesenfeld on January 27, 2019 at his home in Palm Desert, California. Born in Treysa, Germany on May 12, 1947, he immigrated with his family to Canada, settling in Winnipeg's North End where he grew up. He flourished as a playwright and screenwriter, winning numerous awards while forming many friendships along the way. He leaves behind his beloved family, wife Jude and sons, John and Will, sisters, Betty Singer (Sam) of Winnipeg, Rose Snukal (Sherman) of Toronto, along with their children, nieces, Leah and Katia and nephews, Murray, Aaron and Alex. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered for his generous spirit and love of a good story.
