Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT ALEXANDER COSTELLO February 28, 1931 - January 26, 2019 After a short illness, Bob passed away in the Grace Hospital on January 26, 2019, aged 87 years. The only son of Jack Costello and Nell Austin, Bob was born in Chatfield, MB on February 28, 1931. He was predeceased by sisters, Patricia Selinger (Fred) and Joan Holmberg (Ernie). Bob will be remembered as a witty and fun-loving uncle by nieces, Eileen Good (Selinger), Lindy McQueen (Selinger) and their families. Cousins who will miss him include members of the Val Costello family of Stonewall, MB. Bob had many fond memories of his working years at United Grain Growers, Winnipeg, MB. Bob was a long-time Canoe Club golfer and a lifetime reader. He enjoyed the last number of years living at Riverwood Square, Pembina Highway. Many thanks to those who helped him maintain his dignity and independence, including the staff at Riverwood Square, his homecare attendants, and his family physician, Dr. Felix Sikora. Bob supported Siloam Mission, M.A.D.D. and Children's Hospital. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 7 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
