  • Don and I go back a long way. His Dad and mine were the Canadian Army during WW2. We were both born in the same hospital in Red Deer, Alberta about the same time. At the end of the war both families returned to Winnipeg which is where we grew up, went to school together, went to the Welcome Inn on Friday night for a hamburger, chips and gravy, and attended Harstone United church as First class scouts. We were life long friends, helping each other in various endevours. I miss him and know he is in a better place. RIP Lloyd Johnson - Posted by: Lloyd Johnson (Best friend) on: Feb 17, 2019

  • Our condolences Jared. We have many years of great and "interesting" memories of your dad and our friend and accountant. We will miss him dearly. A "character" and a good man such as your dad is ...rare. Dave and Linda - Posted by: Dave Ostryzniuk (Friend ) on: Feb 07, 2019

  • Don took me in as a temp employee over 20+ years ago. 7 years later I was still working for him. Don was the type of man that would give the shirt off his back to help a friend in need, But would not upgrade for a push button phone until the old rotary phone was rendered unusable, Lol. Jared I’m so sorry for your loss. I loved working for your dad. The days of him walking in with strawberry milkshakes for us on hot days. His amazing clients and the long hours at tax time. Loyal to the core. He will be missed. Sorry for your loss. Helene - Posted by: Joe and Helene Taylor (Past employee ) on: Feb 04, 2019

  • I first met Don G Mitchell in 1976 and continued using his professional services till he could no longer do so. It was always a pleasure doing my income tax return with Don. He did the return the old fashioned way (with a lead pencil) and always had some old fashioned refreshments in the lunchroom fridge, I will miss his humour, his laugh and his messy desk at tax time. Our sincere condolences Jared - Posted by: Jerry Donna Kolbuck (Friend) on: Feb 03, 2019
