Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARILYN WOOD September 15, 1956 - February 14, 2019 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marilyn Wood (nee Fiddler) at the age of 62. In the service of her people, Marilyn was a tireless worker for her community. She was serving a term as Vice Chief for the community of Garden Hill First Nation. She was loved and respected by everyone she came into contact with. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband Eric Wood and her son Jason Wood (Mary), daughters, Kayla-Hart (Douglas) and Tammy Knott (David) and her grandchildren, Cordell, Erin, Jaylin, Iris, Piercen, Kaylene, Trent, Tyson, Rochone, Brian, Olivia, Lynneya, Courtney, Delaney, Kelsey, Bethany, Seth, Ashton, Janelle and Shayne, great-grandchildren, Jaycia, Marcus, George, Kaennen, Delilah and Willow, and various nephews, nieces and cousins. She was predeceased by her sons, Marc Wood and Frazer Wood, her parents, Priscilla and Lazarus Fiddler, sisters, Rosalind Muskego and Georgina Beardy, and brothers, Wilfred, Caesar and Ewart. The funeral will be held at the Henry Fiddler Memorial United Church on Thursday, February 21, 2019 with Donald Little presiding. Wake services will be held Tuesday and Wednesday at the home she shared with husband. A tremendous loss is felt by the community as she was a mother figure to so many people. "We appreciate your constant words of encouragement and advice and how you have exhibited these values in how you lived and how you loved. A special place is set aside for special people such as yourself in the kingdom of Heaven."
