I just received word and would like to share my condolences to the family. Al was my coach in hockey and friend in life because of the friendship I had with Murray. We miss you and will keep those special moments in our memories. I leave you with this prayer. Lord God creator of heaven and earth shine your light on the soul of Al Johnson and guide him into your loving and open arms. I have such great respect for Al as a person and athlete. I played on baseball teams with both Al and rival Gary Starr. They were two of the finest first basemen produced in Manitoba and had brilliant careers. Al loved baseball respecting all the nuances of the game carrying himself with elegance and pride. He was a great teammate. He was also a great hockey player achieving the NHL. I also had great admiration for Al’s brother Bill. My condolences to the Johnson family! - Posted by: John Rendall (Friend) on: Mar 03, 2019
