Mrs. Weiss was absolutely one of my favourite people. We were lucky to have her and all the Weiss family as neighbours at our Moose Lake cottage. Over the years, I so often popped by for a lovely visit, some coffee and delightful conversation. Sometimes I went with my daughter, Brittany, and later with her daughter, Madeleine, but stepping into Mrs. Weiss' cabin was always a bit like coming home. The dogs were told not to hop onto the couch, which they did for a cuddle, Karin was usually there as we laughed and talked and caught up on what had transpired over the winter - so glad it was now spring. As Mrs. Weiss often said,"Now it's the time to clean up the yard!" Not that anything seemed to need cleaning - her cabin was a haven Inside and out. Even as she grew frailer, Mrs Weiss was a bundle of energy, kindness and quick wits. I cannot imagine going to open the cabin this spring and asking Pat or Frank when she and Karin might be out. She is so missed. Ross and I send our sympathy and love to the entire Weiss family. Krystyna Krystyna Baranowski and Ross Webster - Posted by: Krystyna Baranowski (Friend) on: Mar 04, 2019

Oma was a wonderful person. My fondest memory is of her teaching us how to pick mushrooms at the lake. Her tremendous warmth and spirit lives on in all of you. We are sorry we will be out of town for the Celebration of a life so well lived, but know you are all in our hearts and prayers. Hugs. - Karen (Alcock) and John - Posted by: Karen Taraska-Alcock (Friends) on: Mar 01, 2019

We have such fond memories of Anneliese and Horst and all the family at Moose Lake. You couldn’t ask for more helpful and thoughtful friends. Anneliese always had a welcoming smile and the most wonderful aromas coming from her kitchen. Moose Lake sunsets are so special - made more so now, knowing that Anneliese is right there enjoying with you. We understand and share the sense of loss to family and friends left behind - but you have to know there’s a big party going on in Heaven - the old gang together again Henry & Janet Scholz Balfour, BC - Posted by: Henry & Janet Scholz (Friends) on: Feb 27, 2019
