ARTHUR FRANKLIN ARTHURSON Kisawatisow Napew July 7, 1945 - February 25, 2019 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, our brother, our grandfather, our uncle, our cousin and our friend, Arthur Franklin Arthurson, in Gillam, Manitoba. Franklin leaves to mourn his children named here in order of birth, Maureen Ledoux (Vincent), Keith Isbister (Brenda), Cindy Kirkness (Howard), Cathy Tegumiar, Bryan Spence (Cheryl), Richard Muswagon (Destiny Ducharme), Conway Arthurson, Ernest Muswagon (Diana) and Melanie Hatley and the daughter he chose, Kathy Spence. Sadly, his son Richard Muswagon and his daughter-in-law Cheryl Spence predeceased him. Franklin leaves to mourn his best friend Yvonne Cook and her sons, Terry and Allen Cook. Franklin and Yvonne met when they were 16 years old and in the hospital together. He lived with Yvonne, in his later years until they were both too ill to take care of each other and he moved to Gillam to be cared for by his children. He also leaves to mourn his sisters, Sara Webb, Lillian Morrisseau, Merdina Cameron (Percy), Ila McIvor (Doug) and Ivy McIvor (Terry Sutherland); brothers, Bliss Arthurson (Connie) and Ralph Arthurson (Virginia); and sister-in-law Mildred Arthurson and brother-in-law Thomas McIvor. Franklin had a large extended family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins and many, many friends too numerous to mention. Franklin was predeceased by his wife Mary (nee Attley), his parents, Susan and Arthur Arthurson and his brothers, Stanley Arthurson and Iphus Arthurson, his son Richard Muswagon and his daughter-in-law Cheryl Spence, Michelle Ballantyne, (Yvonne's daughter who he considered his own), brothers-in-law, Wally Webb and Stanford Morrisseau and sister-in-law Mary Tait. Wake services/Viewing on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, March 1, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service on March 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, Manitoba with Rev.
