SYLVIA BEDWELL (nee HUNTER) Born Sylvia Hunter on September 17, 1931 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Proud to say she was "made in Italy and born in Canada". She passed peacefully February 15, 2019. Sylvia is survived by her four sisters in Winnipeg, four sons in Vancouver, and friends everywhere. Sylvia was a consummate storyteller, gardener, doting mother/grandmother, cherished sister and friendly as the day was long. She could enter a room and know about your family, ambitions and vacation plans within minutes. She showed the world she could do it all; from raising four sons to selling cars and real estate. One of her passions was the Heart & Stroke Walking Club; something she joined in Winnipeg, then recreated herself as the Heart & Stroke - Hearts in Motion in Langley when she moved to BC in the 1990s. Her most proud accomplishment in life were her four sons, Paul, Alan, Michael and Mark. For all the trials and challenges they put her through she always spoke the world of them, to any and all who would listen. She expected the best from each of them and returned to each a love only a mother could offer. A special thank you to Dr. Haaf and the staff at Capilano Care Centre, West Vancouver for their support and kindness in the last five years. In lieu of flowers, Sylvia would appreciate you making a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or for Alzheimer's research. And after that she would have appreciated if, today (and everyday), you could give someone special a hug and tell them that you love them. She lived like that. A family gathering will take place in North Vancouver.
