CLIFFORD MCGILL 1933 - 2019 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clifford McGill, aged 85, on March 1, 2019. Clifford will be lovingly remembered and missed by his daughter Gina, son-in-law Aaron, and grandchildren, Oscar and Marlo. Clifford was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Jean, his parents, William and Emily, sisters, Jeanette (Ron), Doreen (Peter), Merlin (Fred), and brother William. He is survived by his sister-in-law Olga, brother-in- law Edward, and his many nieces and nephews. Clifford was a kind and caring man who enjoyed a funny story and a good laugh. He was extremely proud of his long career working at Building Products and Concrete Supply as a cement truck driver and then as a batch man, and always looked back fondly on his work life. After his retirement he spent many years as a devoted caregiver for his wife Jean, until her passing in 2005. Over the years, he loved going on his annual fishing trips and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion (West Kildonan) where he enjoyed spending time with his many friends. He adored his grandchildren, Oscar and Marlo. He loved to joke around with them and was always very interested in their lives and encouraged them in their music and sports. His warm smile and big heart will be missed by all. Clifford's memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Cemetery, 4477 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
