Roland , Dirk and families. I was sorry to hear of your mothers passing. I always admired her and Bernie for their hospitality and friendship. She was an extra special lady. I'm sorry I couldn't be at the memorial service, the drive was too long and I ended up with a flu bug. - Posted by: Kay Reimer (Sister in law.) on: Mar 27, 2019

I had the privilege of getting to know Nora, when I began my Transcona teaching career at Radisson School. A totally beautiful woman, who appreciated life, and expressed her appreciation through her art work. My neighbor and friend, had the good fortune of acquiring one of her paintings, which I always admired. Never had the opportunity to purchase one myself! What a gift she had! Her students in school benefitted greatly from her love of art. I also knew Nora through our being members of Transcona Memorial Unite church, where her and Bernie attended! As her memorial service and Celebration of Life service is held, may the memories you have of times shared, encourage and inspire you in your own lives. - Posted by: Bonnie Scott jrbks@mymts.net (colleague) on: Mar 24, 2019

I have known Nora as well as two of her sisters, Helen and Margaret for many years. They were famous for their excellent cooking, baking and entertaining. A cookbook, "Family Favorites Cookbook" containing many excellent recipes was given to me and I have used it regularly and frequently these many years. Nora was also known for her flower gardens. A picture of flowers, painted by Nora, has been on my living room wall for quite some time as well. During Margaret's stay in a local care home, Nora's fresh flowers in her room were never absent. No doubt Nora will be missed by Helen, and numerous members of the Reimer family in the days to come. - Posted by: Charlotte (Lottie) Redekopp (Family friend) on: Mar 15, 2019

She was an amazing artist. She was a great teacher too. After many years she still remembered who I was. Mrs. Reid would shop at the Safeway where I work as well, very kind lady. Going to miss seeing her around. - Posted by: Tracy Raych (She was my grade 4 teacher at Radisson School) on: Mar 15, 2019

Roland and Dirk and families. I knew your Mom and Dad since you were very little. Quite often when our family would be visiting Auntie Esther and Uncle Gordon your family would be there as well. Your parents were both great people, and your Mom was so talented. Hopefully you have many of her beautiful paintings that will remind you of her each time you look at them. I know you all have very special memories of her and she will be greatly missed. I hope to make it to her memorial but as I am still recovering from major neck surgery, I may not be able to. If I'm not there in body, I will be in mind. My thoughts, prayers, and sympathy to all of you. - Posted by: Donna Friesen (friend) on: Mar 09, 2019
