HERTA DICK Herta Dick, of Lindenwood Manor, formerly of Glenlea and La Salle, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2019, at the Victoria Hospital. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children: Lori (Gary) Friesen, Dave (Angie) Dick, Lyn (Don) Wiens; her grandchildren: Matthew (Roberta) Friesen, Ryan (Alyssa) Friesen, Jarrett Friesen; Ashley (Andreas) Gerhard, Braedon and Scott Dick; Lauren, Haley and Jessie Wiens; her sister Hedy Thiessen; brothers, Irwin (Margaret) Friesen and Rudy (Edith) Friesen; sisters-in-law, Margarete Dyck and Margot Friesen. Mom was predeceased by her husband Peter; her parents, Heinrich and Justina Friesen; and brothers, Arnold Friesen and George Friesen. Mom was born in Winnipeg on November 21, 1932. She married Peter Dick on October 13, 1956. Mom and Dad farmed in the Glenlea area, where they raised three children. They retired to La Salle, MB in 1998. Mom was a kind and gracious woman of faith, who lived out her love for God in practical and unassuming ways. She will be missed by many. Special thanks to the staff at the Victoria Hospital, who cared for Mom with compassion and respect. A celebration of Mom's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Glenlea Mennonite Church, 1012 Glenlea Rd., Glenlea, MB, with viewing at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. HERTA DICK Herta Dick passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Victoria Hospital, at the age of 86. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Glenlea Mennonite Church, 1012 Glenlea Road, with viewing prior to the service. Interment to follow in Glenlea Cemetery.
