As a student teacher, I was fortunate to have Claudia as my mentor at Shaughnessy Park School several decades ago. She was a very caring and compassionate teacher. My condolences to the family. - Posted by: Cathy Szarko (Student teacher) on: Mar 14, 2019

Claudia had a beautiful soprano voice that was strong and clear. She carried a passion for Canadian newcomers and social justice issues. I valued her opinion on things. I will miss her! - Posted by: Deb Kostyk (Friend) on: Mar 14, 2019

She made the first move and became my very first friend after coming to Canada from Germany, and lived near you on Boyd Avenue. I am still grateful. I loved her laugh and her sense of humor, and am not surprised to read that she became a teacher. I also remember you, Betty. My sincere condolences to you and your family. - Posted by: Regina Knoll (Friend) on: Mar 13, 2019

Claudia was a wonderful lady I met through the teacher's bowling league. We had fun discussions about books and movies and she had a great sense of humour. I will miss her a lot. She was also a caring teacher who taught my brother in elementary. - Posted by: Melinda Welyki (Friend) on: Mar 13, 2019
