JANICE LESLIE HANSEY August 25, 1943 - March 7, 2019 Our Mom passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the age of 75 years. Mom worked for the Manitoba Health for 25 years, retiring in 2005. She enjoyed her time in the kitchen baking, cooking and canning for everyone to enjoy. Mom was a cat lady, having one by her side all through her life, lastly was Mya. Mom was a big sports fan too... the TV was always blaring with either curling, hockey or football on. She also enjoyed spending time watching her grandchildren play their sports. Mom always had something to say whether you wanted to hear it or not. She put her two cents in. Our piggy banks are nearly full now. Thanks for all the advice Mom, we will need it! She leaves behind her children, Jeff, Allison and Amber (Josh); her grandchildren, Bryson, Caitlyn and Burkely; as well as her brother Brian Cox (Marnie) and family. A family graveside service is planned for the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Condolences may be sent to www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com

My deepest condolences for the loss of a kind co worker. I was thinking about her the past few weeks about payday runs to pick brekkie up on the way to the office! I was missing her. Rest In Peace Janice! - Posted by: Sylvia james (Co worker and friend) on: Apr 04, 2019

I was very sad to hear about the passing of Janice. I worked with her a at 2015 Portage and again at 139 Tuxedo. She was a very nice person; liked to share treats and one time, she made me some veal cutlet for my lunch. She was a very giving person. My thoughts are with the family. - Posted by: Shaya Waruk (co-worker) on: Mar 18, 2019

I am so thankful for the time I had with your mom. She taught me how to make pickles and jam and I enjoy doing it to this day. If we ever needed anything at work, Jan was there for us. She will be missed. - Posted by: Robbin Watson (Friend) on: Mar 18, 2019
