ERICH FRANZ JANZEN It is with sadness our family announces the passing of Eric Franz Janzen on March 16, 2019, at the age of 77 years. Eric will be lovingly remembered by his wife Maureen, of 48 years. He is survived by son, Derek (Liz); daughter, Lorie (Steve); his grandchildren, Brayden, Alex, Avery and Oliver; his brother-in-law, Fred; sister-in-law, Joan; nieces and nephews, Herb Jr., Chela, Rhoda, Ingrid, Paul and Kim; and his special companion, Chico, with whom he had a special bond. He was predeceased by his mom and dad, Njuta and David; brother, Herb; sister, Rita; niece, Christine; and mother and father-in-law, Hilda and Maurie Montgomery. Eric was born in Winnipeg in 1941 to Njuta and David Janzen. He worked in the food industry for many years. He was transferred to Vancouver in 1987 where he continued working with Archibald Brokerage. In 1996 he joined Penn Corp Insurance Company where he remained through his later years. Eric took part in the Scouting organization with Derek and took the position of "Hawkeye"! With his family, he enjoyed many years of camping and travel. Eric enjoyed many sports, especially golfing. In recent years he enjoyed watching the PGA golf tournaments, BC Lions and the Canucks. The family would like to thank Doctors Turchen, Vrabec and Gill, the medical staff at Abbotsford Palliative Care Unit and Christine Morrison Hospice for all their kindness and care. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Henderson's Fraser Valley Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC.
