  • I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was indeed a mom to many. I have so many great memories of time spent at your house as a teenager. She was always very welcoming and treated me like one of her own. She was a very special person, I know her spirit will live on in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. - Posted by: Christine McInnis (Family Friend) on: Mar 24, 2019

  • Sincere condolences to the family. My family met the Van Walleghams when they were parishioners at St. Vital Catholic church. They were always very kind to us when we first arrived in Winnipeg. My parents knew George and Fran through the Knights of Columbus and Catholic Women's League. Very sorry to hear of Frances' passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. - Posted by: Violette da Costa (family friend/acquaintance) on: Mar 23, 2019

  • My memories of Fran are every year at our annual conference for Girl Guides of Canada. She was the person at that time usually about 10 months or so in advance of going out to the community if not in Winnipeg and booking the facility making sure there were enough rooms for our facilitators booking hotels, and making sure it all ran smoothly on the weekend of the conference. I didn’t know her well but she was a classy lady and hard act to follow when she gave up doing this. Our thoughts & Prayers to all the family at this time of loss.
