ALBERT BURDENUK
He will be lovingly remembered by his son Don (Amy), daughters, Brenda, Susan (Dan) and Lori (Martin), 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Dad was a kind and generous man who loved spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marquita, father George, mother Jenny, brother Ernie, and sister Mary.
Dad was born in Erwood, Saskatchewan and received his education in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba. He enjoyed music and played the trumpet. Dad was a great athlete who played hockey, baseball, and enjoyed curling. Later in life he spent many summers in Warren, Minnesota where he perfected his golf game. Dad was an avid gardener and carpenter who enjoyed making yard ornaments and butler tables.
Dad began his career with C.N.R. in 1947 and made many lasting relationships along his journey. He lived and enjoyed being an active member in many rural communities in Manitoba. Dad moved the family to Winnipeg in 1976 and retired in 1985. He enjoyed taking train trips and always came across someone he knew.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at River East Personal Care Home for their support and care while Albert was with them.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to your favourite charity.
Rest in Peace Dad, We Love You.
