MARTIN JOEL FORTIN
March 21, 1971 – April 11, 2019

With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Martin Joel Fortin, aged 48 years, of Lundar, MB, on April 11, 2019, at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre.
He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend.
Marty was predeceased by his grandparents, Leifer and Alice Palsson, and June and Alex Fortin.
He will be greatly missed by his mom and dad, Judy and Roy Fortin; brother Troy (Bonnie); nephews, Trey, Jake and Dane; brother Blaine (Erin); aunts and uncles, Kathy and Grant, Leon and Linda and family, Shirley and Terry, Diane and Gregg; great-aunts and uncles, Steini Palsson, Carol Mathews, Alice Walsh, Alma Berthelet, Ingiborg Fortin and Roland Fortin; cousins, Robbie (Craig), Ryan (Chantal), Angie, Lee (Jackie), Meghan, Tracey (Jason), Jackie (Scott), Kris and Cindy Vigfusson, and their families; godson Finn Beiri; special friends, Bob and Debbie Elcock, and family; as well as the Gould families.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Marty's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the Lundar Legion Hall with Cindy Thorkelson officiating. A luncheon will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Martin's memory to the Pauline Johnson Library, P.O. Box 698, Lundar, MB R0C 1Y0 or to the Lundar Golf Club, P.O. Box 603, Lundar, MB R0C 1Y0.
It brings Marty's family comfort to think of him smiling and free of pain.
