Ena was born to Ted and Jessie Rowan in Willen, MB and grew up on the farm in Miniota with her siblings, Dave, Ida, Neil, Bill and Jessie. She was proud of the fact that she was the same age as the Queen.
She graduated from the general hospital in 1948 as an RN and went on to work in Dauphin where she met her husband, Lloyd. They were married in 1951, moved to Charleswood and their family grew with Ted, Lesley and Trevor.
She will be missed by her son, Ted and his family, Jean, Laura and Spencer; and daughter Lesley and her family; Ron, Scott, Dale and Claire. Ena was predeceased by her husband Lloyd and beloved son Trevor.
Ena and Lloyd were faithful members of Charleswood United Church.
Many thanks to nurses on 5 North at Victoria General Hospital, especially to Robert and Deborah.
A come-and-go gathering will be held from 12:00 (noon) to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Qualico Family Centre in Assiniboine Park.

  • My condolences to you and your family. I lived beside you on Elmhurst Road in Charleswood. I was in grade school at the time but remember my mom and your mom standing outside talking in the driveway. My mom passed away a year ago and so I share your grief at this time. Time passes so quickly but our memories never fade. - Posted by: Barbara (Neighbor) on: Apr 21, 2019

  • I have such fond memories of your mother. From dance classes to Church events she was a constant in my life. I was delighted to see her at my mothers funeral in 2017. We had a lovely little catch up. May her memory be a blessing. Cindi (smith) - Posted by: Cindi French (Friend ) on: Apr 20, 2019
