Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • When I first saw John it was at the Convention Centre, he had a spot set up for his detectors , couldn't get close to him, lots of people so grabbed some brochures and called a few days later. John said to come over so told my wife I wouldn't be too long. Turns out that was in the early afternoon, well we hit it off and talked about lots of thing, didn't get home till after midnight. Visited a lot over the years just to talk, a truly wonderful person, going to miss him. - Posted by: Oris Wazny (Friend) on: Apr 29, 2019

  • I was saddened to hear about John's passing. My condolences to Aunti Anne and family. I always knew him to be a very nice and kind man. I'm so sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Karen Wiebe (Friend and neighbour) on: Apr 23, 2019

  • I've known John since 1980. I was interested in metal detecting and he took me under his wing. He was a kind and generous man whom I will miss very much. I was very proud to be friends with OK John. Oris and I used to spend a weekend every Fall at his cottage. The three of us had many adventures together. It is truly the end of an era. - Posted by: Peter Bulback (Friend) on: Apr 20, 2019
