DONALD ERNEST BIGNEY
He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Arlene (Tom) Dorsett and their family, Donna (Jim), Debra and Dave (Lisa), also his great-nieces, Stefani, Payton and Jayme, and great-nephew Ryan.
Don was born in Melville, Saskatchewan in 1945 and moved to Winnipeg in 1953 with his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Bea and Bill Bigney. He was an avid adventurer, a wise and gentle man, content and grateful for every day. He filled hearts with love and memories and his great sense of humour.
He will also be missed by his longtime friends, Tina and Todd, and close friend Antoinette who provided her friendship and loving care.
A Celebration of Life will take place in Abbotsford, BC. As per Don's wishes, cremation has already taken place.
Don will always be in our hearts,
until we meet again.

I have very fond memories of this man from my childhood. He was always very kind and loving with us kids. The beach trips in the summer and the sliding in the winter. No matter how many of us he would find a way to get us all in his little Volkswagen 😁 Don will always be remembered with that amazing smile on his face. - Posted by: Marc Courchene (Feiend) on: Dec 22, 2019

Although it has been a long time since I saw you and we only talked a couple of times when we were young and going to school in St. Vital, I have been a good friend of Arlene since 5th grade and she always kept me abreast of Don's and all of the family's activities. - Posted by: John (Jack) Oakes (Family friend) on: Apr 29, 2019
