IRENE LEBLEU
(nee SEBASTYEN)
November 18, 1926 - April 23, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Irene (Helen) LeBleu, who passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at the age of 92 years, with her family by her side.
Irene will be lovingly remembered by her children: sons, John (Connie) Lachnit and Ken (Rachel) Lachnit, and daughter, Linda (Mario) Boily; her grandchildren, Craig Lachnit (Brittaney), Evan Milejszo, Miguel and Renée Boily (Kyle).
She will be dearly missed by her sister-in-law, Lorraine Charette, and brother-in-law, Gerard Yvon, along with many nieces and nephews.
Irene was predeceased by her husbands, Denis LeBleu (2010) and Paul Lachnit (1962), her granddaughter, Heather Lachnit (2019), brother and sister-in-law Steve and Lucille Sebastyen, mom and dad, Catherine and Victor Sebastyen. She was also predeceased by one son-in-law, Richard Courcelles and members of the LeBleu and Lachnit families: Euclide and Maria LeBleu, Albert (Lillian) LeBleu, Leo (Elsie) LeBleu, Bertha (Andrew) Hora, Georgette (Noctaire) Nault, Irene Yvon, Jeanine (Steve) Werbeniuk, Rene LeBleu (Leslie) and Diane Badder.
Irene was a hard worker, she worked at Eliuk's Store in Woodridge and later worked as a custodian at LaVerendrye School in Woodridge, with the Seine River School Division. She was an avid gardener, blueberry and mushroom picker and loved having everyone over for something to eat or just a cup of coffee. She also enjoyed a great game of baseball and most of all loved to spend time with Denis playing bingo at various bingos. Irene took pleasure in spending time with her family and she had a special place in her heart for her four grandchildren. Her love for family has created many wonderful and lasting memories, which will continue to be a constant source of comfort to us.
A special thank you to Dr. Mark Duerksen, the nurses and staff at Bethesda Regional Health Centre for all their care, guidance and compassion. Also, to family and friends for their words of comfort and visits during this difficult time.
A Service of Remembrance will be held Sunday, April 28, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 162 PTH 52W, Steinbach, MB, with interment at Woodridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southern Health-Santé Sud (In memo line: Bethesda Regional Health Centre), Box 470, La Broquerie, MB R0A 0W0.
