JOSEPH MICHAEL KRUK

After a brief illness, Joseph Michael Kruk passed away peacefully on April 21, 2019 at St. Boniface Hospital.
Born on June 8, 1932, Joe spent his life in Winnipeg working for CP Rail and then various companies in the building industry until his retirement at age 65. Joe did not let retirement slow him down, doing early morning paper deliveries as well as various other odd jobs for several years.
Joe dedicated the remaining years of his life caring for his wife of 61 years, Joyce. He was always interested in the people he would meet day to day but at the same time he was a very private man who enjoyed his solitude.
In addition to his wife Joyce, Joe is survived by his children, Shannon (Russ) Anderson, Cameron (Denise) Kruk and Dana (Donovan) Dvorak; five grandchildren, Andrew, Jonathon, Nathaniel, Kayleigh and Ella as well as extended family and friends.
As per Joe's wishes, a private celebration of his life will occur at a later date.
The family wishes to thank all of the staff on A7 South, ICMS and the Palliative Unit at St. Boniface Hospital for the excellent care they provided.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, C1026-409 Taché Ave., Winnipeg.
