Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I opened the newspaper on Thursday and was very sad to read that we have lost Lorenza. To her family, The Myers family wishes to express our deepest sympathies. Lorenza had a heart of gold. She helped to look after my Mother Zelda at the Sharon Home and she was kind, gentle, respectful and highly competent in everything she did for Mum. I remember coming to visit Mum on the way home from work and as I got off the elevator on the fourth floor all I could hear was uproarious laughter coming from My Mum's room down the hall. It was my Mum in the bathroom with Jamina and Lorenza doing the usual get ready for bed routine. As a child of a parent receiving elder care there is NOTHING more important than feeling your loved one is safe and well cared for. Not a day went by when I did not feel that Mum was in excellent hands...I am so glad she came to visit Mama Zelda in mid February. It gave us a chance to thank her for all her kindness. Lorenza was amazing and her loss is one that will be felt by her family and all of the people who had the good fortune to know her. May her memory always be a blessing. - Posted by: John Myers (friend) on: May 11, 2019

  • I had the absolute privilege to work with Lorenza. She was always so kind and helpful, even when the task didn’t belong to her she was eager to lend a hand and help out. I am truly sorry to hear of her passing and offer her family and friends my heartfelt condolences. She was definitely taken way too soon. I will remember her fondly and with much admiration. May God grant her much peace, and may she rest with the Angels. - Posted by: Candace van Reede (Co-worker and friend) on: May 09, 2019
