THOMAS GRANT BAPTIE
He is survived by his wife Ooy, stepson Nat, stepdaughter Fon, and stepgrandson Que. Also, surviving are his mother Gail Sanderson (Ed), brother Bill Baptie (Charlotte) and nieces, Samantha and Sarah, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves many close friends throughout the world. He was predeceased by his dad, Jim Baptie, in 1977.
Tom was born in Calgary October 2, 1963. He moved to Brandon in 1965 with his family. He attended Linden Lanes School, Vincent Massey High School, Brandon University, University of Manitoba and University of Alberta.
His career with Nortel took him across Canada and the US and then to Thailand. His career continued in Singapore with Applied Materials.
Tom will be remembered for his quick wit and humour. He enjoyed life. Family and friends were very important to him.
Tom was proud to be called a Canadian no matter where he lived, worked, played or travelled.
