EDITH NAOMI KNELLER
(nee TRAVIS)
1935 - 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Edith Kneller announces her passing on April 23, 2019, at the age of 83.
Edith was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Bertha Travis, husband Gordon, and granddaughter Jada.
An only child, Edith was born in Winnipeg. She spent her early years in Portage la Prairie before returning to Winnipeg. Edith married Gordon in 1955 and together they shared 33 wonderful years until Gordon's passing in January, 1989.
Edith shared her passion for travel and culture with family and took great pride instilling an appreciation of the arts in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially attending the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra with four generations.
Edith will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law Marshall and Laya; grandchildren, Kyle (Carol), Gabi (Benji) and Skye; great-grandchildren, Alex and Maddy; and devoted daughter, Sandi. Also left to mourn is her extended family including many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-law Ted Muller; and her treasured lifelong friends.
Sincere and special thanks to Mom's wonderful caregiver, Karna, who provided compassionate and exceptional care during the last several months.
Funeral services, officiated by Cantor Al Benarroch, were held on April 24 at Chevra Mishnayes Synagogue. Pallbearers were grandson Kyle Kneller, Benji Winestock, Josh Winestock, Barton Faiman, Robbie Waldman and Murray Greenfield. Honorary pallbearers were granddaughters, Gabi Winestock and Skye Kneller; and great-grandson Alex Kneller.
Donations may be made to the Chevra Mishnayes Synagogue or the Winnipeg Humane Society.

Mom,
Forever loved
Forever missed
Forever in our hearts

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I share in your sadness of the loss of your beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. I knew my dear friend Edith (Z"L") for over 75 years, and will miss her as well. May her memory be for a blessing. She was a very "special" person and very devoted to her family and friends. Sadly, Esther Weinstein and family. - Posted by: Esther Weinstein (friend) on: May 11, 2019
