Condolences & Memories (2 entries)
Beng is a good friend since we were in grade 5 -Elementary or Primary School as it is known in other countries. Our friendship blossoms to greater length when we move to High School and we were classmates from 1st to 4th year. Together with other classmates we formed a smaller inner circle where we dine together in one of the canteens in front of the School - Such bonding grew to a point that majority of us went to same University and me and BENG started with same course and graduated with same course. (After changing it from math to applied math) in short we had same struggle and practically similar challenges. We also joined same Sorority. Beng is always the meek and humble creation with a ready smile! But while she may look weak from the outside she is very much strong and focus from inside specially when it comes to helping his Family specially when she lost her Mom. She is a Daddy’s girl being the youngest. Thus as early as she was planning to move to Canada she already wrote the ending of her Canada journey with her Dad by her side... a plan she steadily carried on. When we met again 5 years ago in Singapore, She shared me her hurdle for completing a chemo sessions for the dreaded C. And now she will have to start again for another case of Carcinoma. She requested me not to share with other friends so they will not feel sad for her. That’s typical of her - being considerate of the feelings of other people. In between I asked her once in a while how is she- and she will always reply - she is fine and doing well. I was confident she will hurdle this case as she is known to be focused on what she sets as outcome for every journey... I miscalculated. But I am certain that her journey to the Creator has been planned and carried on with her kindness to everyone. This I cannot miscalculate. To Tatang and her siblings. Our sincere prayers and condolences. To Beng enjoy your journey to heaven. - Posted by: Cristy Vicentina (Friend since Elementary; Sister with Delta Lambda Sigma Sorority of The University of the Philippine) on: Jun 10, 2019
Beng is a simple person with a humble heart. A very kind lady I met through Annabelle. She always had a great smile to offer and always cheerful in her words. Though we were not very close, I feel deeply saddened by her passing, however, just like Annabelle told me in her text, we now have added an angel that will watch us here on earth. God bless you Maribel and may your soul rest in peace. Enjoy the place where there is more laughter and joy. From - Me, May - Posted by: May (Friend/sister in Christ ) on: May 20, 2019
