LORRAINE VIVIAN HARDMAN
To cherish her memory are her husband Eugene Maybroda; children, Susan (Richard), Brent (Corrina), Jarett (Donna); and by her grandchildren, Kaylie, Conner, Taylor, Sierra, Reid and Liam. She is also survived by her brother Mel (Geri); sister-in-law Joanne (Tony); brother-in-law Grant (Lois), and many other family members. Lorraine was predeceased by her first husband Bruce Hardman, in 2010; and her parents, Olga and John Welby.
Mom was active and passionate about many things throughout her life, such as gardening, St. Basil's Ladies' League, Charleswood Horticultural Society, bowling, fishing, lake life, the cottage, bingo, travelling, and music that had to be turned up loud. She was always supportive of her children's sports and activities and could be found in the loudest cheering section. Mom prided herself in being "unique" and one-of-a kind in everything she did.
We would like to thank Dr. Lamba and all the staff at GD 4 at Health Sciences Centre for the compassion and care they gave to Mom.
Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 202 Harcourt St., followed by a reception in the parish hall. Interment will follow in Transcona Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
She will be greatly missed,
but we know she is in a better place now.
