ALEXANDER J. SAWCHUK
1932 - 1984
The pain of losing you, Dad, was too much to process and understand. The next few years were the toughest and saddest of our lives. But somehow Mom, Paul and I got through with hard work and knowing you were by our side the entire time.
The greatest qualities our Dad had was that he loved us so much and didn't want harm to come to us. You were very protective.
You were a true sportsman. You could either find Dad at the ice rink in the winter or the ball park in the summer. When we played soccer and skated with you, it was so much fun even though you were very competitive with us.
Dad loved the water as well, we would go to the YMCA with Mom and Dad and spent all our time in the pool, so much fun to swim with you and we started very young. We thank you for that as it could save our lives one day.
Dad loved animals, all kinds. We had dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, a guinea pig, fish but his greatest love was the horse. It wasn't surprising that he went to the racetrack regularly to see some.
Dad we thank you for being a hard worker and helping Mom to provide for us. We never went without. You sacrificed so much.
It has been 35 years since you've been gone. We are sure God saved a special room in his house for you.
So much has happened since then, but the most important was the birth of your grandchildren: Noah, Nicholas and Caleb. You would have loved them and they would have loved you. Stay close to them Dad and protect them always.
Not a day goes by without thinking of you especially during the milestones in our lives.
All we can say as we did in your obituary is
We love you Dad.
Until we meet again,
Mom (Rose), Marie (Rob), Paul (Lisa),
Noah, Nicholas and Caleb
