October 27, 1988 - May 9, 2019
Greg was predeceased by his great-grandparents, Bill and Elsie Venchuk, and grandmother Caren Oldfield. He will be remembered by his mom, Traci, his brother Justin (Jennifer), his daughters, Brielle and Raelynn, Uncle Don, Great-Aunt Pat (Roger), Great-Aunt Riesa (Stan), nieces and many friends.
Greg was born in St. Thomas, Ontario and spent much of his childhood in Stonewall and Balmoral, Manitoba before moving to the East Kildonan neighbourhood in Winnipeg, where he attended Kildonan-East Collegiate.
He worked for Woodland Supply and Impact Drywall among others, as well as companies in Ontario and Alberta. Greg wasn't afraid of hard work and was well-respected as an installer of drywall and steel beam. He was known as 'The Man of Steel' by his co-workers for his amazing work ethic. His greatest accomplishments in his eyes however, were his two daughters, whom he loved with all his heart.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 15, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at CanadInns Transcona, 826 Regent Avenue West in Winnipeg.
His family is grateful for the efforts of the doctors and nurses at Leduc Hospital in Alberta, as well as Impact Drywall for their generous help with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a trust fund for his daughters through https://www.gofundme.com/f/trust-fund-in-memory-of-greg-oldfield
