May 28, 1946 - May 18, 2019

Surrounded by her family, after a long courageous battle with cancer, Pat left us to be reunited with her husband Bob.
Forever cherishing her memory are her loving daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Kevin and her two grandchildren, Emily and Preston, as well as her brothers, John (Bonnie), George (Glennis) and Norman, her sister-in-law Bev, brother-in-law Gary (Lynn), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pat will always be remembered for her absolute love of her two grandchildren, Emily and Preston. From the day she laid eyes on them she made sure that they were always number one. She attended countless hockey and ringette games they had, even as her mobility became limited, she was there! She always took time to show them many of her infamous cooking and baking tricks. They could always be seen playing board or card games together during the down times. She was so patient and loving with them! Grandma we love you and we will always carry you in our hearts!
Pat was born in Winnipeg on May 28, 1946, moved to the RM of Springfield at the age of 10. She attended River East Collegiate where she met her husband Bob who she married in 1967. Together they built their dream home in Springfield, where they resided until Bob's untimely passing in 1992. She remained in their house until her recent passing.
Her early career included working at Hudson's Bay house as a bookkeeper until her daughter Jennifer was born, who then became Pat's priority. She went back to the workforce in 1993 using her love of cooking and entertaining, she worked at Naleways catering. Her life came full circle when she went back to bookkeeping working for her son-in-law at Deacons Corner Petro-Canada. In retirement she became an avid historian. In researching her family tree, it led her to volunteering at the Springfield archives where she spent countless hours helping reconnect the local history.
Pat's love of flowers and gardening always produced an impressive display in her yard which she was very proud of. Many of us asked her advice on choosing plants as her thumb was much greener than ours. This love of flowers came from spending many years of helping out at Anderson's greenhouse.
Pat will be deeply missed by her lifelong childhood friends, Ernie (Dorothy) and Linda (Stan). They spent many years together playing games, shopping, helping each other out, but mostly playing tricks on each other. They shared much laughter and tears, all in good fun!
The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Selkirk Regional Hospital for their great care and compassion given to Pat while she was there.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to CancerCare Manitoba or other charities of your choice.
In accordance with Pat's wishes, a private celebration of her life will occur at a later time.
