ANTHONY JOHN ADAMSON
1942 - 2019

After a courageous fight with Mesothelioma, Anthony (Tony) Adamson passed away peacefully, at home April 29, 2019.
He will always be remembered for his generosity, wicked sense of humour and willingness to help his fellow man. He was so proud to have had the opportunity of helping with the building of the Gabriola Community Health Centre and being a member of the "Hammer Throwers" (those who were on site everyday from start to finish).
When the GIRO needed help with their new building and the refitting of the old one, Tony was one of the first to volunteer, bringing his grandson Brandon on board to help and also gain work experience for the future.
Gabriola has lost a true volunteer, always available when good advice and help was needed.
He leaves behind his wife Jill, of almost 55 years, daughters, Sharron and Teresa, grandchildren, Taylor, Kyle, Brandon, Madison, Brett and Ryan. He also leaves his two sisters, Pat and Neen in Eire and brothers, Peter and John in England. Also his many friends in Canada and the UK.

"To die would be an awfully big adventure."

- Peter Pan, J.M. Barrie
