Romeo will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Marilou, two sons, Richard (Cherryl) and Christopher (Raquel), two grandchildren, Michael and Kailey, his mother Fausta and two brothers and four sisters.
Romeo was born on July 6, 1956 in Batangas City, Philippines. He worked as a Marine Engineer for many years and then moved to Winnipeg in 1985.
Romeo was a very hardworking, kind and selfless person. He was very active in the community and enjoyed helping those in need. He was the president of Fil-Kam Association, helping raise money to support children with cancer in the Philippines. Romeo loved travelling with his wife, spending numerous hours with his grandkids and golfing with his best friends.
The Lamay (viewing) will take place on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight at Glen Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. D. Szwajcer, staff at CancerCare Manitoba, MICU and GD6 at HSC and 5th Floor, Unit 3 at Seven Oaks General Hospital for their kindness and compassionate care.
