With family by her side, Jacqueline
(Jackie) Ann Hemery passed away peacefully at the Grace General Hospital on May 19, 2019 at the age of 68 years.
Jackie was born in Winnipeg to Ann and John Procewiat on December 23, 1950.
Jackie is survived by her husband of 48 years Lawrence, daughter Chantal (Al Criggar), son Trevor (Alexa Wallin) and grandchildren, Andrew, Wynn and Ashton.
She is predeceased by her parents, John and Ann and brother Edward.
Jackie was a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and survivor. Aside from bringing up her family, Jackie worked at MTS, Woolco, U of M, and Grace Hospital. At each of these workplaces she created special friendships that lasted her lifetime. Jackie loved to
travel, cook, entertain, play cards, and could spend hours talking on the phone with friends, family and neighbours. Every family and friendship circle has one person who keeps the relationships connected, for her
family and friends - that was Jackie.
Special thanks to the nursing and support staff at Heritage Lodge PCH and Grace
General Hospital for the care and support provided to mom.
Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m., May 31, 2019 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with Father Isadore Dziadyk officiating.

Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • I met Jackie while working at MTS. Wonderful work companion. I also was in their wedding party. People might say you're in a better place. The better place is here on earth free of pain and suffering. You didn’t deserve all that suffering. Rest my dear friend - we didn’t always stay in touch but when we did it was always like we always had. Your family and friends will miss you. Heaven needed another beautiful Angel. Unfortunately I will be away for your service but my heart and thoughts will be with you all. - Posted by: Donna Boutang (Friend) on: May 29, 2019

  • I value the years that I knew Jackie, from parties at my dad's & Pauline's place to bowling and just getting together. My deepest condolences to all of you Lawrence, Chantal and Trevor. - Posted by: Lillian Mustard (Friend) on: May 27, 2019

  • Lawrence, Chantal, Trevor and Family It is with great sadness that we read in the Winnipeg Free Press today that your Wife, Mother and Grandmother had passed away. She was an inspiration to Judy and I at every dental appointment. She was an incredibly positive person in spite of her health issues. Her smile was contagious. Our thoughts are with you.
