JUDITH EYOLFSON
Born in Winnipeg on July 24, 1941, Judy grew up in Elmwood where she met and married her husband Gerry. After living and raising their family in Windsor Park, Judy and Gerry spent several years in Lac du Bonnet.
Judy returned to her career at Winnipeg School Division #1 upon Gerry's passing where she worked in the Board Office until her retirement. In 2004 Judy moved to Cook's Creek, MB, with her sister Lorraine and good friend Glenda McLarty, where she fulfilled her dream of country living. Judy loved travel and visited Iceland, all of Canada, much of the United States and cruised the Caribbean extensively. She loved Florida, from St. Augustine to the Keys and even the rides at Disneyworld. Judy's dogs were a source of great pride and comfort to her, particularly Emmy and Angel.
Judy is survived by daughter Katherine (Peter) and granddaughter Jennifer; her much loved siblings, Gerry (Gail) Lorenz, Lorraine Lorenz and Cal (Shannon) Lorenz; as well as cousins, nieces and nephews with whom she shared many enjoyable visits.
Judy was predeceased by her parents Wanda and Gerhard Lorenz; her husband Gerry; and her beloved sons, David and Jodi.
Judy was a gentle soul who loved people and she leaves behind many who will miss her dearly. The family thanks Marilyn Waterman in particular for her devotion to their friendship.
A service will be held for Judy on Wednesday, May 29, at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 E. at Navin Road, with interment following.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Judy's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba.

Our sincere condolences to Judy's family and friends. Judy was a lovely woman and I enjoyed conversations of dogs and Disney with her. Her love of and devotion to her dogs was as special as she was. - Posted by: Laurie Keith & Pierre Lalonde (friend) on: May 25, 2019

I think of Judy often. She was part of our coffee group at the WSD Board Office. We had many wonderful talks and I will forever hold special memories from our times together. I will miss her deeply.. - Posted by: Allison Rondeau (Co-worker) on: May 25, 2019
