HELEN WALKO
She was predeceased by her husband Horace, parents, Sydor and Katherine, and sister Valentine (Violet) and is survived by her sons, Ken (Marion) of Calgary and Glen.
Helen was born and raised in Winnipeg and moved to her home in Transcona in 1958 where she raised her family, and remained for 61 years. She was employed for 33 years at the Bank of Nova Scotia as an accounts manager. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed attending her seniors club and cribbage, as well as, watching hockey, going to the movies, taking many trips and weekly cards night with her friends.
The family would like to thank her home care workers, Lanka, Donna, Elanor and Amy for all their support and care which allowed her to remain comfortably in her home.
At Helen's request, a cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life for family and friends will be forthcoming

Aunt Helen was a very special woman. We loved going to her house for card night with many laughs and always good food! Our condolences go out to Ken(Marion) and Glen.
