FLORENCE THERESE THABREW

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Florence Thabrew, on May 28, 2019, at the age of 96, just three months short of her 97th birthday. She passed away sitting peacefully in her favourite chair, looking out onto the garden.
Born in Sri Lanka, Florence migrated to Canada in 2009, to live with her daughter. Florence lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She had a passion for cooking and loved to feed anyone that came to visit her.
She is predeceased by her husband Gabriel and son-in-law Landathilaka. Left behind to cherish her memory are her six children: Shirley, Upali (Nirmala), Luckshmi (Susantha), Sujatha, Lileena (Felix) and Mohan (Anne). Florence will also be greatly missed by her 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gianna Bretta Molla Roman Catholic Church (15 Columbia Dr.), on Wednesday, June 5 at 10:00 a.m. Viewing at 9:00 a.m. Reception to follow mass.
