• Ernie was one of the first people we met as we moved to Birtle in 1950. A kind and gentle soul with a wicked sense of humor, a great community supporter who had a helping hand in all community good works and was a great friend. • I don’t know Mr Walley, but was drawn to his notice because of his photo in uniform. Yesterday was D-Day and given his age of 93, he would have been a veteran of WW2. He lived in the same care facility as my mother-in-law and at this time of commemorative services for D-Day in 1944, I want to thank him for his service 🇨🇦.
