NICK CHERNESKI
December 8, 1931 - June 2, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather at the age of 87 years.
Leaving to mourn his passing are his children Gerry (Roberta), Karen (Brian) and Greg (Laurie); grandchildren, Justin (Jasmine), Breanne (Kyle), Stefan (Ashley) and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Zayden and Madison; dear friend Victoria; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Jean; his parents, Ksenda and Stephen; sisters, Annie, Mary, Nettie; twin sister Katie and brother Paul.
Nick was born on December 8, 1931 in Fraserwood, MB. In June of 1955 he married the love of his life, Jean. They were married for 35 years before her passing on June 4, 1990. Nick was employed by Winnipeg Transit retiring in 1994. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be missed by all.
The family would like to thank the staff at Maples Personal Care Home for their compassion and care.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Justin, Stefan and Dylan; nephews, Ted, Cliff and Terry.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Kidney Foundation.
