MARGIE ROSE LOVELESS
1943 - 2019
She was predeceased by her husband Wilf, parents, Peter and Josephine Drohomereski, sister Jean, and brothers, George, Joe, John and Edward. She is survived by her sister Helen, and many nieces and nephews.
Margie was born and grew up on the family farm near Teulon. She moved to Winnipeg to go to high school, and a few years after she started in the workforce, she met Wilf and they married. Eventually they moved to Montreal and later to Calgary where they spent most of their married life.
In 1983 Margie moved back to Winnipeg. She began a career with Canada Post not long after and retired in 2004. Margie had an active social life and loved to go out for lunch or dinner or entertainment with friends. Her social circle included friends from high school and her workplace long after she retired. She became active with the Seven Oaks seniors' group upon retirement, making new friends along the way, and participated in many activities. She also appreciated her long time neighbours, Kathy and Debbie, who were always there for her when she needed assistance of any kind.
Margie loved animals and was passionate about volunteering for animal related causes. She was a volunteer with the Winnipeg Humane Society and other shelters. In addition, she was well known for rescuing many homeless pets over the years on her own. Regretfully she left behind her best dog friend, Buddy, and four cats, Sandy, Star, Button and Boots.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal ceremony will take place.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
As there will be no service, to honour Margie's memory her family would appreciate if friends and family would share their memories and stories of her on the Winnipeg Free Press Passages or Seasons Funeral Chapel websites.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)
So sad to hear of Margie's passing. I have many memories of Margie at work, and going on some crazy road trips together to see some country concert. I remember her most for her love of animals. The last time I talked to her, her first comment was, "How's Oliver (my dog)? Will miss her at our 'Canada Post' lunches. Condolences to her family & friends. - Posted by: Janet Vogt (Friend/Co-worker) on: Jun 10, 2019
