June 6, 2019 - Calgary, Alberta

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew Morrison on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the age of 42 years. Matthew was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on August 19, 1976 and has been living in Calgary for the last 10 years.
Matthew (Matty) was a man of integrity, loyalty and humility. These qualities made him an exceptional leader, of over hundreds of employees, as Director of Operations for the Concorde Entertainment Group.
Matthew is survived by his parents, Clive and Diana; his two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Brad (Kelly) and Ben (Anissa); four nephews, Tristjan, Hunter, Dexter and Edwin; and his partner Kyla Hunter. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Matthew left us too soon and had a lot more to offer everyone; forever he will be with us in our hearts and memories.
There will be a private service for family held in Winnipeg at a later date.

Those wishing to pay their respects may provide condolences and tributes through Matthew's Obituary page at

If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Bruce Oake Memorial Fund in Winnipeg at:
