1927 - 2019

He will also be sadly missed by sisters, Simone (Adelard) Ouimet, Aurore (Robert) Kirouac and Bertha Wiebe; sisters-in-law, Denise, Eileen, and many nieces and nephews.
Gabe was predeceased by his parents, Stanislaus and Gabrielle Robert; brothers, Ovide, Edward, Frank; and sisters Therese, Jeanne and Rita.
Gabe was born in Aubigny, Manitoba and lived most of his life in Winnipeg. He worked for many years as a machinist for the Winnipeg Free Press. Upon his retirement, Gabe and Karen spent their winter months at their home in Texas and their summers travelling in their R.V. In later years they wintered in Victoria, B.C.
Gabe was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a happy and cheerful man who had a smile for everyone. He was kind and generous and always willing to lend a helping hand when needed.
He enjoyed travelling, camping, fishing, reading, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.
In accordance with Gabe's wishes, there will be no formal service. A private family gathering and interment will occur at a later date.
Special thanks to Dr. Fotte, Dr. Kim, and the staff at CancerCare for their excellent care and compassion.
Those we love don't go away
They walk beside us every day
Unseen and unheard, but always near
Still loved, still missed, and so very dear.
