  • So sorry to hear of Barb's passing. We had no idea she was ill. Hopefully her brother Bob or his wife can get in touch with me at alexandjoc18@gmail.com. I had recently been in touch with Barb about why our dads came to Winnipeg years ago. I finally found out a bit more of the story but never got the chance to pass it on to her. Very sorry to hear she is gone. Our condolences to the family. Jocelyn and Alex - Posted by: Jocelyn Walker (First cousin) on: Jul 09, 2019

  • Sorry to hear of Barbara's passing upon my return from BC. My sincere condolences to Dewayne and family. - Posted by: Carol Anne Schoenborn (Friend/co-worker) on: Jun 26, 2019

  • We lived across the street from the Walkers for many years. Barb actually used to babysit us when our parents went out. Years later she babysat my oldest daughter Deanna when I went to work. We had many good times together. When I came to pick my daughter up after work she always had a fresh pot of coffee brewing. We shared many stories and great laughs. Of course as time went by we lost touch but I met her and her mom in Safeway about 6 years ago and it was just like old times such a lovely caring and all around great person. She has left me with many memories. My deepest and most sincere sympathy on your loss. May your many memories comfort you at this most difficult time. • I am so sad to hear of Barb's passing. I knew her and Dwayne for many years while I was the Staff Health Nurse at Jostens. Barb was a lovely person and always had a smile and a sparkle in her eyes. We shared many conversations over the years and one thing that stood out to me is the importance of Family to Barb. Her family, her Mom were the world to her. My heart goes out to all her family and to all who loved her. My deepest condolences to each of you. I for one will remember her always; her laugh, her sparkle, her warmth. With deepest sympathy, Susan Jeroski - Posted by: Susan Jeroski (Friend, former co-worker) on: Jun 17, 2019

  • Rest easy Nana Barbara. You were such a caring woman for both your family and the people around you! You did absolutely everything you could, even if you were in your lowest point. I will also always remember your crazy stories you always told Rhea and I on our drives to and from school everyday! I will miss you dearly. To the Hildebrand family, my deepest condolences to all of you, especially her children and grandchildren. I can't imagine how you all are feeling but enjoy all the memories and take it easy♥️ - Posted by: Mercedes Lee (Close Family Friend) on: Jun 15, 2019
