ILLA DOREEN KNOTT
passed on June 10, 2019 at the age of 81 years.
She was predeceased by her beloved
husband of 65 years, Tommy Knott, eight months earlier.
The only daughter of William and Winifred Harper, Illa survived the passing of her brothers, Gerald, Charles, Robert, Welland and Frank, her youngest daughter Melody and grandson Adam. Loving brother Garry (Lillian) still lives in Vancouver.
The mother of nine, Illa is survived by her five sons, Blaine (Karen), Bradley, Randy, Marlin and Darrin (Leslie), three daughters, Shelley, Darlene (Curtis), Bonny, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends, will all feel the loss of our dear mother.
Besides raising her family, Illa worked
outside the home. Jobs included making
fishing nets, selling Avon, cleaning offices for
Winnipeg Photo and working in local schools. She loved playing cards, going to bingo,
attending family functions and musical jam sessions, regularly participated by our father (a fiddle player). Illa was a beautiful person both inside and out and the best Mom we could have wished for.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Luther Nursing Home for their care and compassion given to both our parents.
A Celebration of Life and interment for both our parents will take place on August 24, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Jude's Anglican Church Cemetery in Grand Marais.

Auntie Illa a beautiful woman through and through you always had a smile and hug whenever we saw one another. Rest in Paradise and I am sure Uncle Tommy is happy by his side again.
