JAMES (CRAIG) CUDMORE
May 4, 1957 - June 17, 2019
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Gail; children, Shaina (Darryl), the light of his life, grandson Talon; Calen (Alyssa), grand-puppy Niera; and Tina; siblings, Donna (Bill), Bill and Elaine (Dave); mother-in-law Kitty; his brother/sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Harvey; father-in-law John; brother-in-law Barry; and nephew Derek.
Trucking was Craig's life and working hard was the only thing he knew how to do. He worked for Gardewine for over 35 years where he met many long-time friends. He was the recipient of the Manitoba Trucker of the Year award in 2007 and was a strong role model to many in the field. Having a clean truck and trailer was of utmost importance to him. Craig had a big heart which meant family and friends were his world. The unwavering love he had for his wife, children and grandson was undeniable. Craig spent a lot of his time fussing over his yard, tinkering with older combines, chatting with good friends over coffee and camping whenever possible. Helping his children anyway he could was always his number one priority.
Celebration of Life service will be held at the Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Blvd., Winnipeg, MB on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Luncheon will follow in the Van Roon Community Hall (same location). Private family interment will be held at a later date.
We would like to thank CancerCare Manitoba at St. Boniface Hospital for all of their compassionate care over the years, along with, WRHA Palliative Care Program's care for the last couple of weeks.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Craig's honour to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.

Paul and I are deeply sorry to learn of Craig's passing. Unfortunately we had not seen Craig for many years, but we do remember him fondly, as a gentle soul, with a sense of humor and a quiet, likable demeanor. I think the last time we saw him was by accident at Nicks Restaurant in Headingly. I think Paul and I were either arriving into Winnpeg from Calgary or heading back and stopped for a bite and there was Craig. We shared a meal and a good visit with him. I do have a very old video, which was taken by my Dad (Uncle Howard) with his 8MM movie camera with the huge, blinding light bar! The kind where everyone is squinting! The day was Christmas and the year about 1958 making Craig about 19 months old and the Cudmore clan were gathered at the Wardell home in St. Vital. Craig was motoring his new Christmas Tractor about the living room and hall with Uncle Howard down on his knees playing with him..as I recall Craig at his young age liked to use a few choice swear words which made everyone sort of giggle hearing him. I didn't like the fact that he was getting all the attention, so I (Lorna) being about 7 decided to show off my head stands in the middle of all the family who were gathered for Christmas dinner! So glad to have this video, a reminder of wonderful family times shared. To all the Cudmore family and to those friends and acquaintances who knew and loved Craig, our very deepest sympathy.
