MARIE ANNE SILVARI
March 31, 1932 - June 27, 2019

Peacefully on June 27, 2019 at the St. Boniface Hospital, with her family at her side, Anne Silvari passed away at the age of 87 years.
Anne will be deeply missed and remembered by her surviving spouse of 63 years, Antonio; children, Louise (George) Scott, Diana (Pat) Bourassa and Daniel (Tamara) Silvari; grandchildren, Leanne (Tyson), Michelle, Trevor, Tyler (Pam), Kaitlin (KC), Adrianna; and great-grand-children, Myah, Brady, Tate, Kaleb and Macey. Also left to mourn are her siblings, Laurette Philippot and Henri Gauthier; in-laws, Mario Silvari, Yvette Gauthier and Celine Gauthier. Numerous relatives and friends will also sadly miss Anne.
Anne was predeceased by her parents, Ovila and Lucienne Gauthier and siblings, Alfred, Leo, Raoul, Lucien and Oliva Gauthier.
Anne was born in St. Claude, Manitoba on March 31, 1932. She was employed at Canada Safeway for approximately 40 years until retirement in 1992. Anne will be fondly remembered for her unconditional love for her family. Her home was her utmost cherished place along with the family trailer at Lee River. Her love was cooking for family and friends, sewing little girl outfits, knitting mitts for her grandchildren and watching and waiting year after year for her Winnipeg Blue Bombers to win a Grey Cup, along with her Winnipeg Jets to win a Stanley Cup. She was also a great sideline coach from her living room chair to television curling bonspiels.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the St. Boniface Emergency Hospital staff, Dr. Peters, Dr. Doucette and medical staff; along with St. Boniface medical staff on 6A South. You never forgot once that Mom was a person and not a patient. Thank you to the Access River East home care staff who have provided care to Mom over the last few years. Thank you to Naomi for the care and passion you demonstrated throughout the time of need. We express our gratitude to Concordia Village volunteer, Barb for your friendship and always being there for Mom.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue. Condolences will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Father Sam Argenziano. Interment at Assumption Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manitoba Lung Association or a charity of your choice.
