George Edward Johnston passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Riverview Health Centre. He went peacefully with family by his side.
He left behind his wife of nearly 40 years, Del, stepsons, Sean and Tom Ramsay, sisters, Barb, Gwen and Nancy, nieces, Kymm and Danielle and nephew Kevin as well as grandchildren, Devon, Kelly and Rhean. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Barry Morgan and his parents, Harold Johnston and Shirley Johnston (Hays).
George taught for many years in the Winnipeg School Division. He loved history and enjoyed reading as a pastime. For this reason, he was always a valued team member in our Trivial Pursuit games. He also enjoyed curling, both playing and watching. He was the President of Victoria Curling Club and made many friends there including Gord Menzies who maintained close ties until the time of his passing.

Rest in Peace George, you will be missed by
all who had the pleasure of knowing you.
