LEO ARTHUR LARAMEE
September 13, 1936 - June 19, 2019

It's with saddening hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved Leo Arthur Laramee, husband, father, brother and grandfather.
Leo was the 12th child of 13 children brought into this world by his parents, Arthur and Louise Laramee. Growing up in St. Boniface, Leo was a brilliant and resourceful boy who often enjoyed playing on the river banks of the Red with his brothers. He would later grow up and chase his dreams of becoming a pilot for the Canadian Air Force. After his service he proceeded to earn his degree in Engineering which lead him to become an owner of many business including the ongoing Canadian Dionic Ltd.
In his retired life, Leo enjoyed spending time at his rural home, reading and watching his favourite TV shows while feeding and caring for the many birds and deer that visited his backyard.
Leo leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, Marguerite, daughter Jacqueline and her partner Fred, son Christian his wife Yamira and his pride and joy, grandson Matthew.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Intensive Care Unit at the Health Sciences Centre and Selkirk Hospital for their companionate and gentle care. Leo was a strong man who fought very hard to stay with us as long as his body would allow. We love you and miss you.
As per Leo's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service has been held.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society and the Canadian Blood Services.
